Emergency Medical Technician
Program overview
Step into a rewarding and fast-paced healthcare career with the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certificate program at Lemoore College. This program equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to provide emergency medical care in pre-hospital environments. Training covers national and state standards, including California EMS regulations and U.S. Department of Transportation guidelines, with a required 24 hours of ambulance ride-along experience. Upon successful course completion, students will be prepared to take the National Registry of EMT's certification exam, opening doors to careers in emergency response, ambulance services, fire teams, or healthcare settings.
- This program/course will occasionally meet at off campus locations and the student will be responsible for arranging his/her own transportation to those locations.
- This program/course requires completion of American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course prior to enrollment. Please review information below on how to find a course.
