Lemoore College nominated in three Best of Kings County categories; community encouraged to vote daily

LEMOORE, Calif. — Lemoore College has been nominated in the Hanford Sentinel’s Best of Kings County contest in three categories: Community College/Trade School (Lemoore College), Annual Event (Lemoore College Fall Festival Trunk-Or-Treat), and Nonprofit (Golden Nest: Food & Basic Needs Center).

The college is inviting students, alumni, employees, and community members to vote once per day in each category through the close of voting on Saturday, Nov. 1, at 11:59 p.m. Ballot link: Best of Kings County Hanford Sentinel

To vote, visit the ballot Best of Kings County Hanford Sentinel and:

• Select Community College/Trade School and choose Lemoore College.

• Select Annual Event and choose Lemoore College Fall Festival Trunk-Or-Treat.

• Select Nonprofit and choose Golden Nest: Food & Basic Needs Center.

The Lemoore College Fall Festival Trunk-Or-Treat is a free, family-friendly celebration that welcomes community members and children to campus for games, music, prizes and food, along with safe trick-or-treating and activities hosted by student clubs, academic programs and college partners.

Golden Nest: Food & Basic Needs Center supports students by addressing food insecurity and other basic needs with free groceries, hygiene items, and referrals to community resources. The center’s goal is to reduce barriers that keep students from persisting and completing their education.

Lemoore College has earned Best College in Kings County three years in a row. Daily voting helps highlight the work of supportive staff and faculty and the programs that serve students and families across the region.
