Lemoore College to Distribute 800 Holiday Meals and Turkeys at Monthly Drive-Thru Food Distribution

Lemoore College will host a special “Thanksgiving Edition” of its Monthly Drive-Thru Food Distribution on Monday, Nov. 17, 2025, from 8:00–11:30 a.m. in the Golden Eagle Arena Parking Lot (Parking Lot A). The college will provide 800 holiday meals and turkeys to community members.

The event is open to anyone who needs extra help getting food. No appointment is necessary, and the drive-thru distribution is first come, first served. The line begins forming at 8:00 a.m., and distribution start time may vary. Food will be distributed until supplies last.

“This event is about more than a holiday meal — it’s about community,” said James Preston, president of Lemoore College. “We know many families are feeling the impact of rising costs, and we want them to know they are not alone. Lemoore College is proud to stand alongside our neighbors and help make the holiday season a little brighter.”

The Monthly Drive-Thru Food Distribution is presented in partnership with Kings Community Action Organization (KCAO) and the Central California Food Bank.

Community members are invited to participate in one of two ways:

  • Drive-Thru: Vehicles will enter the Golden Eagle Arena Parking Lot (Parking Lot A) and remain in their cars while volunteers load food directly into their trunks.
  • Walk-Up: Walk-up service is available for those without a vehicle. Participants must bring a cart or wagon to transport their items.

The Monthly Drive-Thru Food Distribution is part of Lemoore College’s ongoing commitment to addressing food insecurity and supporting the basic needs of students and residents in the region.
