LEMOORE, Calif. — Lemoore College is making it easier for students to get to class,
work, and essential services through a new partnership with Kings Area Rural Transit
(KART). Beginning with the 2026-2027 academic year, currently enrolled Lemoore College
students can ride participating KART fixed-route buses free of charge by simply showing
their current Lemoore College Student ID.
The Golden Eagle KART Pass is a one-year pilot program designed to remove one of the
most common barriers to higher education by providing reliable, no-cost transportation
throughout Kings County and surrounding communities. The program is available to all
currently enrolled Lemoore College students, regardless of how many units they are
taking.

challenge for many students. Through our partnership with KART, we're helping students
save money, reduce stress, and focus on what matters most: earning their degree and
building a better future."
Students can begin riding free by following three simple steps:
- Visit the Eagle Help Desk in Building 900 to obtain a current semester Lemoore College Student ID.
- Show the ID when boarding a participating KART fixed-route bus.
- Ride free to class, work, appointments, shopping, and more.
Participating KART routes connect Lemoore with communities across Kings County, including
Hanford, Corcoran, Stratford, Avenal, Kettleman City, Lemoore Naval Air Station, and
provide regional connections to Fresno, Fowler, Selma, Laton, and Visalia.
The Golden Eagle KART Pass is valid during the Fall 2026 semester from Aug. 3, 2026,
through Jan. 3, 2027, and the Spring 2027 semester from Jan. 4, 2027, through May
31, 2027. Students must obtain a current Student ID each semester to continue receiving
free rides.
The transportation initiative is part of Lemoore College's ongoing commitment to supporting
student success by expanding access to basic needs resources and reducing financial
barriers that can impact college completion.
