Lemoore College Welcomes Justin Lott as Head Women's Basketball Coach

LEMOORE, Calif. – Lemoore College has named Justin Lott as the new head coach of the Golden Eagles women's basketball program, bringing a passion for student-athlete development, championship coaching experience, and a commitment to building a culture of excellence both on and off the court.

A Central Valley native and graduate of Kings Christian High School in Lemoore, Lott returns to his hometown with more than a decade of experience mentoring student-athletes through coaching, leadership, and academic support. Throughout his career, he has focused on helping students succeed not only in competition but also in the classroom and in life.

Most recently, Lott served as a player development coach with Team Progress Basketball NIKE EYBL AAU in Portland, Oregon, where he trained elite high school student athletes and prepared them for collegiate competition. He previously served as an assistant men's basketball coach and academic advising specialist at Umpqua Community College, where he helped lead the Riverhawks to a league championship and a fourth-place finish at the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) Tournament. During his coaching career, Lott has developed numerous student-athletes who have gone on to play professional basketball in New Zealand, Australia, Portugal, and the Philippines.

Lott also led the girls' basketball program at Kings Christian High School, where his teams captured multiple Central Sierra League championships and finished as runners-up in multiple CIF Central Section championship games. He was named East Sierra League Girls Coach of the Year and has built a reputation for developing student athletes into leaders on and off the court.

"Lemoore College is committed to providing our student-athletes with exceptional opportunities to grow academically, personally, and competitively," said Lemoore College President James Preston. "Justin's passion for mentoring students, his commitment to equity and student success, and his proven ability to build winning cultures make him an outstanding addition to our athletics program. We are excited to welcome him home to Lemoore."

Lott said he is honored to return to the community that helped shape his own journey.
"Coming back to Lemoore is incredibly meaningful to me," said Lott. "This community invested in me as a student-athlete, and I'm excited for the opportunity to give back by helping our student-athletes reach their full potential. My goal is to build a program that competes at a high level while preparing our players to be successful in the classroom, in their careers, and in their lives."

In addition to his coaching experience, Lott holds a Master of Arts in Management and Leadership from Liberty University and a bachelor's degree in Sociology and Psychology from Avila University. His background includes extensive experience in academic advising, mentoring first-generation college students, supporting historically underserved populations, and developing programs that promote student success and retention.

Lott's appointment reflects Lemoore College's continued commitment to providing student-athletes with transformational educational experiences while building a competitive athletics program centered on leadership, integrity, and academic achievement.

The Golden Eagles women's basketball team will begin preparations for the upcoming season under Lott's leadership later this summer.
