Lemoore College to Celebrate Visual Arts & Applied Sciences Building Ribbon Cutting Dec. 4

Lemoore College will host a ribbon-cutting and open house for its new Visual Arts & Applied Sciences (VAAS) Building on Thursday, Dec. 4, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Lemoore College campus. Guests are encouraged to RSVP at the college's events page. Community members, supporters of the college, and members of the media are encouraged to attend.

Following brief remarks at 11:30 a.m., guests are invited to an interactive open house from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. to explore the programs that will live in the VAAS Building: Nursing, Paramedic, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Art, and Information Technology, as well as Business and Computer Information Systems. Faculty and staff will showcase learning spaces, answer questions, and highlight hands-on training opportunities.

Visitors will also participate in creating an interactive display that will hang in the building’s lobby, offering the community a chance to leave a lasting mark on the new space.

“Opening the VAAS Building is a milestone for Lemoore College and for Kings County,” said Lemoore College President James Preston. “This facility gives our students access to industry-relevant labs and learning spaces, and it helps us meet local workforce needs in fields like health care, IT, and the creative arts. We are excited to welcome the community to see how this building will support student success close to home.”
