About Associate Degrees for Transfer (ADT)
The Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT) is intended for students who plan to complete a bachelor's degree in a similar major at a California State University (CSU). Students completing the Associate in Arts for Transfer (AA-T) or the Associate in Science for Transfer (AS-T) are guaranteed admission to the CSU system, but not to a particular campus or major. Students who have been awarded an AA-T or AS-T similar to their intended CSU major are able to complete the remaining requirements for the 120-unit baccalaureate degree within 60 semester units, after transferring. Students planning to transfer to a university that is not part of the CSU system are encouraged to speak with a Lemoore College counselor and consult with ASSIST.org to plan accordingly.
To earn an AA-T or an AS-T degree, a student must:
- Complete a minimum of 60 CSU-transferable semester units with a minimum grade point average of 2.0.
- Complete all major requirements with grades of C or better. A P (Pass) grade is also an acceptable grade for courses in the major if the course is taken on a Pass/No Pass basis. Pass is defined as C or better.
- Complete the California General Education Transfer Curriculum (Cal-GETC), which requires 34 semester units. Double counting of major and Cal-GETC courses is encouraged and permitted.
