Incentives
- For new participants: attend four workshops and you could be eligible for a stipend and a survival pack (backpack with school supplies).
- For Veterans Upward Bound Alumni: attend four workshops and you will receive a Veterans Upward Bound T-shirt.
- BRING A FRIEND: If you have a veteran friend, have them register and attend four workshops. Doing so will put you in a drawing for a $100 Amazon gift card.

Meet the team of Veterans Upward Bound and learn more about the program. This is required for new veterans

Math - Converting fractions, decimals, & percentages.
At the conclusion of the fractions, decimals, and percent lesson, learners will be able to recognize when to apply and manipulate these into equivalent mathematical statements.

Rosanna Hartline, PhD., Biology faculty at Lemoore College, will teach you how to be successful in a college science class.

At the conclusion of this lesson on ratios/proportions, students will be able to recognize and apply ratios and proportions to solve real-life problems and solve for an unknown component.

Learn how to navigate the student portal and Canvas and learn the importance of utilizing these tools while attending Lemoore College.

Math - Word Problems
At the conclusion of the word problems lesson, students will learn to label the components of a word problem to best evaluate and create an equation in order to solve the problem.

Presenters from Vocational Rehabilitation (Voc Rehab) and CalVet will teach about the different services and benefits that are available to veterans.
