STEM-A-PALOOZA 2026 Brings Regional STEM Conference to Lemoore College on March 13

LEMOORE, Calif. — Lemoore College will host STEM-A-PALOOZA 2026, a dynamic regional MESA/STEM conference designed to inspire the next generation of innovators, on Friday, March 13, in the Conference Center, Room 253, at 555 College Ave., Lemoore.

The event is expected to welcome more than 150 students from across the region for a day of engaging presentations, networking and exploration of career opportunities in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The conference will feature a keynote address by Dr. Sonya Christian, chancellor of the California Community Colleges.

“We are excited to host an interactive conference that showcases the importance and excitement of STEM,” said Gustavo Enriquez Fernandez, director of MESA at Lemoore College. “This event marks a significant milestone for our MESA students and the broader STEM community.”

Additional featured speakers include:

  • Dr. Jonathan Hernandez-H., professor and CEO/founder of Rise 2 It Productions
  • Jeremiah Ruesch, STEM educator
  • Ed Campos, STEM educator
  • Karla J. Orosco, STEM educator

Throughout the conference, participants will engage in discussions and activities designed to highlight educational pathways, emerging technologies and opportunities available to students pursuing STEM careers. The event supports the mission of the Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA) program, which helps students from diverse backgrounds succeed in STEM fields.

Lemoore College President James Preston said the conference reflects the college’s commitment to providing students with access to innovative learning experiences. “Events like STEM-A-PALOOZA help spark curiosity and connect students with leaders and mentors in STEM fields,” Preston said. “We are proud to support opportunities that encourage students to pursue high-demand careers and make meaningful contributions to their communities.”

As part of the event, one student attendee will receive a $1,000 award, sponsored by Rise 2 It Productions. Students must be present at the conference for a chance to win.
