Resource Friday: WHCL Library and Learning Resource Center

When you think of a library, you think of a huge building filled with rows and rows of books of every size, age group, and genre. And while, yes, Lemoore College’s Library and Learning Resource Center (LRC) is filled with over 30,000 print materials to support the curriculum at WHCL, it truly offers students so much more.

Did you know that the Lemoore Library webpage offers an online chat feature, enabling students to chat with a Library Team Member without even stepping foot into the library? The same webpage also offers links to academic databases, a place to reserve textbooks, guides on research and citations, information on where, when, and how to utilize the LRC, and so much more.

In addition to all the great online resources proved by the library, there are a ton of fantastic in person resources available too! If you are in need of a quiet place to study, the library is a wonderful option, but did you know that you can check out a study room? This is a great option for studying with a partner or when working on a group project.

WHCL’s LRC fully supports e-Learning, with 75 computer workstations available for student use, most of which contain Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office applications.  You can also check out a laptop and hotspot for the semester from the library, which are available on a first-come-first-served basis.

Visit the library webpage today, or stop by in person, to surround yourself with an extensive amount of resources offered to Lemoore College students.
